About Vervomel
Vervomel is a small reference site about basic home appliance maintenance. It collects the diagnostic checks a homeowner can reasonably do before deciding whether a fault needs a licensed technician.
What this site covers
The guides focus on three appliances most households depend on day to day: washing machines, refrigerators and dishwashers. Each guide is written in the same order — safety, common causes, then checks that need a basic tool — so the cheap and reversible steps come first.
How the guides are written
Content is kept deliberately practical. Where an exact figure is not something that can be stated reliably for every model or province, the guides describe the check in plain terms rather than inventing a number. External links point only to publicly available references such as manufacturer documentation, encyclopaedic overviews and Canadian government efficiency pages.
What this site is not
Vervomel does not sell parts, book repairs or replace a manufacturer's manual. It is reference material. Appliance work can involve electricity, water, gas and refrigerant, and several of those are regulated trades in Canada. The guides are clear about where a homeowner should stop and bring in a qualified technician.
